Flambé – (Flahm-Bay) – ‘Drench with Liquor and ignite’

 

Flambe means to ignite foods that have liquor added. This is done for a dramatic effect and to develop a rich flavor of the liqueur to the foods without adding the alcohol. The flames result from the combustion of the flammable alcohol, which is quickly consumed, subsequently extinguishing the flames. The dish is served as soon as the flame disappears. The name Flambe is in support of this style of cooking. With our chef preparing the Flambe dishes next your dining table, we bring in a whole new interactive experience that goes much beyond just food and service. Welcome to the world of Flambé!
